Vose Research Lab

The Vose Research Lab investigates dysfunctional breathing, swallowing (dysphagia), and cough function (dystussia) in disorders affecting the upper aerodigestive tract. Led by Dr. Alicia Vose, the lab focuses on understanding the mechanisms governing airway protection and the integration of swallowing with breathing function. Through interdisciplinary research, the lab develops rehabilitation strategies that harness neuroplasticity to improve outcomes for neurologic conditions, including stroke, TBI, and SCI.
