About Catherine J Ward
Catherine Ward, PsyD, is a University of Florida assistant professor of neurology and a neuropsychologist at UF Health Jacksonville, specializing in clinical and forensic neuropsychology. She received her masters and doctorate degrees from Argosy University in Washington, DC, and completed a fellowship in clinical and forensic neuropsychology.
Dr. Ward’s clinical interests include neuropsychological and neurocognitive disorders. She is passionate about teaching and education to help patients, families and communities better understand brain health and behavior.
Her philosophy of care centers on patient-focused treatment delivered with compassion and accuracy. Dr. Ward works to ensure patients feel heard and respected while receiving clear, thorough evaluations and guidance. She believes in empowering patients and families with knowledge about their cognitive and emotional health, so they can make informed decisions and take an active role in their care.
Outside of work, Dr. Ward enjoys spending time outdoors with her dog, gardening, beekeeping and caring for her chickens and goldfish pond. She is active in her community through volunteer work with veterans’ organizations and art fairs. A U.S. Navy combat veteran and mother, Dr. Ward also enjoys riding her motorcycle and practicing and teaching yoga.
