Vascular Neurology

The UF Health Jacksonville Comprehensive Stroke Program provides advanced inpatient and outpatient stroke care, from rapid evaluation and acute intervention to secondary prevention and rehabilitation. As part of a regional referral center supported by TraumaOne helicopter transport, a Mobile Stroke Treatment Unit – Stroke – UF Health Jacksonville, and neuroendovascular expertise, the program offers fellows a robust experience in high-acuity cerebrovascular disease and time-sensitive stroke management.

Neurocritical Care

UF Health Jacksonville’s Neurocritical Care Unit provides specialized, multidisciplinary intensive care for patients with severe neurological and neurosurgical illness. Fellows benefit from training in the management of critically ill patients with stroke, seizures, traumatic brain injury, neuromuscular respiratory failure, and other life-threatening neurologic conditions in a dedicated neuroscience critical care setting.

Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation complements neurologic care through a comprehensive, nonsurgical approach focused on restoring function and improving quality of life. Fellows gain insight into interdisciplinary rehabilitation strategies for patients with neurologic injury, stroke, neuromuscular disease, and other disabling conditions, with emphasis on recovery, adaptation, and long-term functional outcomes.
