The General Neurology Program at UF Health Jacksonville provides comprehensive, patient-centered care for a broad spectrum of neurologic conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Residents develop a strong clinical foundation through exposure to common and complex disorders affecting the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and muscles, while working closely with subspecialty colleagues in a collaborative academic environment that emphasizes diagnostic excellence, continuity of care, and multidisciplinary management.

The UF Health Jacksonville Comprehensive Multiple Sclerosis Program is a National MS Society-certified Center for Comprehensive MS Care, offering expert, compassionate care through a coordinated multidisciplinary team. Residents gain exposure to complex MS management across the continuum of care, including diagnosis, disease-modifying therapy, symptom management, and long-term support in a collaborative academic setting.

As part of a regional referral center supported by TraumaOne helicopter transport, a Mobile Stroke Treatment Unit – Stroke – UF Health Jacksonville, and neuroendovascular expertise, the program offers residents a robust experience in high-acuity cerebrovascular disease and time-sensitive stroke management.

This program offers residents valuable exposure to both common and complex movement disorders within a multidisciplinary neuroscience environment.

The Comprehensive Epilepsy Program at the UF Health Neuroscience Institute is a multidisciplinary program offering the latest diagnostic and therapeutic options for patients with epilepsy. Training opportunities include exposure to advanced neurophysiologic assessment, inpatient video EEG monitoring, vagus nerve stimulation, and evaluation for epilepsy surgery in patients with medically refractory epilepsy.

Neuromuscular
The Neuromuscular Disease Program at UF Health Jacksonville includes an ALS Association-certified Treatment Center of Excellence, reflecting a high level of expertise in the care of patients with ALS and other neuromuscular disorders. Residents work with faculty experienced in state-of-the-art neurophysiologic testing, including single-fiber electromyography (SFEMG) and multidisciplinary management of complex peripheral nerve, muscle, motor neuron, and neuromuscular junction disorders.

Neurocritical Care
UF Health Jacksonville’s Neurocritical Care Unit provides specialized, multidisciplinary intensive care for patients with severe neurological and neurosurgical illness. Residents benefit from training in the management of critically ill patients with stroke, seizures, traumatic brain injury, neuromuscular respiratory failure, and other life-threatening neurologic conditions in a dedicated neuroscience critical care setting.

Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation complements neurologic care through a comprehensive, nonsurgical approach focused on restoring function and improving quality of life. Residents gain insight into interdisciplinary rehabilitation strategies for patients with neurologic injury, stroke, neuromuscular disease, and other disabling conditions, with emphasis on recovery, adaptation, and long-term functional outcomes.
